Job Purpose:

Senior Relationship Banker (ED level) based in Paris to cover Global Banking clients in Continental Europe and to build and develop a solid portfolio of clients in Continental Europe, primarily in the Energy & Natural Resources (ENR)sector.

The ENR team is part of FAB's Investment Banking Group which covers the energy value chain including oil, gas & new energies, traditional and renewable power generation, metals & mining and commodity traders and team consists of sector specialists across the energy value chain.

Identify and originate business in line with the group strategy (including prospecting NTBs) with P&L responsibilities to contribute to the team's revenue targets.

Portfolio management of existing clients, with a continued focus on the identification and execution of ancillary products.

First line of defence from a credit risk / KYC/ operational perspective Improve service quality levels and supervise subordinates' day-to-day activities.

Direct line management and development responsibilities for junior members of the GBC France team This is a key client facing role involving F2F client meetings and involving business travels.

From a developmental perspective the suitable candidate will be part of our core succession planning.

Key Accountabilities:

The role forms part of the first line of defence and is an important function around credit stewardship, business development, portfolio management, new deal origination and execution and in the prevention and detection of financial crime.

Strategic Contribution:

Work with MDs to develop the team's strategy and business plan with the aim of increasing the Bank's share of the target clients' wallet and achieving targeted relationship returns.

Keep close interaction with Product Partners, and other stakeholders, to maximise business opportunities with clients, and to streamline execution of deals and strategies.

Client Relationship Management:

Fully informed regarding the latest developments in the Energy & Natural Resources space with a focus on Oil & Gas and Power & Renewables and be a sparring partner for clients and internal stakeholders.

Focus on core clients and originate new business opportunities with target clients in line with Group strategy including prospecting.

Become subject matter experts for the Energy & Natural Resources sector in Continental Europe.

Develop and negotiate Term Sheets and Mandate Letters for new transactions.

Work on / prepare client presentations.

Examine & resolve credit, market and operational risk aspects of the transactions in collaboration with products and enablement units.

Pitch, review, negotiate and conclude deals.

Achieve individual and team financial performance targets.

Identity & develop cross selling opportunities and increase the cross-sell ratio with key clients.

Drive new client onboarding business cases.

Collaborate and work closely with Global Subsidiary and FAB International Branches to increase client wallet share, depth of relationship and X-sell opportunities with key global client relationships.

Collaborate and work in close co-ordination with sector heads to identify business opportunities, cultivate strong client relationships, and lead deal teams towards successful outcomes in terms of SoW, APR , X-sell and return on capital metrices for the portfolio.

Fully understand the Bank's Products and associated processes.

[Risk Adjusted Return On Capital] calculation and drafting / submission of note to Capital Allocation Committee.

ESG:

Liaising with clients for collection of necessary data, info for preparation of ESG rating note in compliance with FAB's ESG policy and SOPs.

Achieve high degree of customer satisfaction reflected in NPS score and annual client survey reports.

Ensure Account Plans are prepared and maintained for all key clients.

Ensure all clients' files /documents are maintained.

Ensure all credit reviews are submitted on time and agreed conditions are met.

Maintain the credit quality of the clients' relationships within the Portfolio to an acceptable level set by the Bank's management.

Budgeting and Financial Planning:

Manage P&L responsibility of the assigned portfolio, achieving targets within defined budget levels.

Day-to-Day Activities:

Assist the MD in the day-to-day administrative and transactional activities to ensure continuity of work and the delivery of effective and high-quality outputs.

Manage and follow up on KYC and compliance requirements in order to ensure consistency with the Bank's KYC and AML policies and regulatory requirements.

Policies, Systems, Processes, and Procedures:

Follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Ensure that all internal processes for existing portfolio and NTBs are met in line with the Bank's policies & procedures.

Adhere to process KPIs and management system requirements, ORM, BCP & Internal Audit Requirements.

Maintain a satisfactory audit on the portfolio.

MIS and Reports:

Review and analyze MIS and Finance reports to keep track of performance vs.

budgets.

People Management & Personal Development:

Learning & Development Attend appropriate on and off-the-job training programs and ensure development and skill upgradation of team members.

Motivate, Develop and Coach team members.

Contribute to talent development initiatives.

Act as a role model and drive adherence to organizational values and ethics by employees.

Qualification & Experience:

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or related discipline.

Master's degree in Business Administration is preferred.

Minimum Experience:

15 years of experience in Corporate & Investment Banking / Investment Banking.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

Extensive experience in the field of corporate & investment banking and Coverage / relationship management.

Knowledge of the Energy & Natural Resources sector in Continental Europe (including France).

Proven experience in origination, new transaction negotiation, documentation (LMA) and execution Strong exposure or experience to project finance for the energy and infrastructure sector.

Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) practices.

Ability to work under pressure and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
