Main purpose of the role:

Aurel BGC, part of BGC Group, is seeking a credit risk analyst to undertake a variety of credit granting, monitoring and other related analytical duties including:

Credit reviews on existing and new clients for BGC group of companies.

Set counterparty credit limits for a mixture of entities including, Financial Institutions, Hedge Funds and Investment Managers.

Manage credit exposure for various products including equities, fixed income and structured products.

The analyst will also be responsible for undertaking some other risk reporting and for working at transversal projects/tasks (ICARA; policies & procedures; ).

The analyst will work in the Risk Department in Paris which includes a staff of 2 or 3.

Key responsibilities:

Core Activities · Facilitate credit requests and prepare credit analyses/reviews of new and existing counterparties · Portfolio reviews of counterparties based on country or sector risk · Counterparty risk monitoring (Aurel BCG and its branches; Aurel BGC Monaco) · Manage and monitor systems used to grant and measure counterparty credit usage · Establish and analyse risk reports, and prepare other ad hoc risk related tasks Key contacts/working relationships · Compliance, Legal, Business Lines, Settlements, Operations Skills/experience required:

At least 3 years' experience within the risk department of an investment bank / financial institution covering counterparty/credit risk.

A strong understanding of the fundamentals of capital markets counterparty credit with an emphasis on Financial Institutions including Banks, Broker-dealers, Hedge Funds, Investment Managers, Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, and other Corporates.

Must have a clear understanding of and experience in various products (equities, fixed income, structured products, etc.) and the ability to analyse and assess embedded credit risks.

· Bachelor's/Master's degree in finance, business, economics, mathematics, or related field.

· Fluent in French and English (both oral and writing) required.

Other languages desirable.

Systems used:

· Bloomberg, Fidessa, advanced spreadsheet skills, Microsoft Office Personal attributes:
