About The Role
The ChiefOperatingOfficer (COO) for LexisNexis France, also known as Directeur Général Adjoint, is a critical member of the executive leadership team.
Reporting directly to the LexisNexis CEMEA/France CEO and based in Paris, this role is responsible for overseeing and driving the overall business operations of a dynamic organization with $175m in revenue, a high margin profile, and a strong digital innovation engine.
With a rich heritage dating back to 1907 and a market-leading position in legal information and SaaS workflow solutions (including Gen AI features), LexisNexis France prides itself on delivering excellence to over 70,000 clients across multiple segments.
The COO will ensure operational excellence across Sales, Marketing, Content and Go-To-Market teams, in close collaboration with other executive leaders.
Responsibilities
Overseeing daily operations and executive teams, managing the day-to-day operations of the company and directly oversee key executive functions.
Significant P&L ownership of $175M, driving alignment of Sales, Marketing, Content, to ensure seamless operational execution.
Driving operational strategy and transformation:
Designing, planning and implementing business operation strategies that support the overall growth of LexisNexis France.
Championing continuous transformation of operational functions to ensure that all initiatives are aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
Managing external relationships and driving revenue expansion:
Maintaining strong relationships with partners, vendors and key accounts.
Overseeing research, evaluations, negotiations and new revenue initiatives to expand adjacent revenue streams, foster strategic partnerships and drive financial projections.
Developing and executing a detailed roadmap:
Defining a clear roadmap of operational initiatives and projects that back the company strategy.
Establishing critical milestones, guiding cross-functional teams to achieve them, and reporting progress in a timely and transparent manner.
Collaborating on company strategy:
Actively participating in the definition of the company’s overall strategy and supporting its successful execution.
Ensuring that the strategy is clearly communicated and easily understood by all levels within the organization.
Setting growth goals and implementing performance metrics:
Establishing comprehensive goals for business growth and success while implementing appropriate metrics and KPIs.
Regularly monitoring performance metrics and adjusting operational plans based on data-driven insights.
Advising on market and competitive dynamics:
Serving as a trusted advisor to the CEO on emerging trends in the competitive landscape and shifts in the global marketplace.
Providing insights that help shape strategic decisions and maintain the company’s market-leadership position.
Fostering a high-performance culture:
Leading and inspiring employees to achieve maximum performance and dedication.
Mentoring teams to drive performance, encourage innovation and create a collaborative work environment that supports continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bring depth of executive leadership experience, with significant experience in progressive management roles.
Experience managing local Go-To-Market functions (Sales and Marketing) is critical.
Demonstrate proven P&L responsibility and experience as a business unit leader within a large international group, preferably in an Anglo-Saxon context.
Possess deep commercial acumen.
Exhibit a deep understanding of business operations, solutions selling and key account management.
Prior experience in digital/technology-driven industries is highly valued, particularly in environments leveraging SaaS or subscription models.
Bring extensive analytical and performance management skills.
Possess advanced analytical capabilities with a successful track record in driving performance metrics and managing operational KPIs.
The ability to assess financial performance and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights is essential.
Exceptional leadership and board presence.
Demonstrate high impact, dynamic leadership and board gravitas needed for participation in executive committees.
Proven experience in transforming organizations and inspiring high performance across diverse teams is required.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Communicate effectively in both French and English.
Possess the ability to articulate complex strategic visions into actionable business plans and influence key internal and external stakeholders.
Have a collaborative mindset with the ability to work across multiple functions and with various international teams.
Experience in matrixed organizations and the capacity to manage complex stakeholder relationships are essential.
