Your mission We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join us on the development of BlaBlaCar Daily on the Features squad known as DFE.


You will work on technical challenges and product feature developments from the early conception meetings, development and test strategy, to deployment in production, observability, and support.

Your responsibilities As a Senior Android Engineer, you’ll join a team of 8 Software Engineers working for our Features squad.


Their goal is to deliver new user-facing features to improve user experience and increase carpooling usage.


Your main responsibilities include:

• Participate in the entire application development lifecycle, including product meetings, architecture design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support.


• Support and collaborate with fellow engineers to develop Android projects.


• Adapt existing features and lead technical projects addressing scalability, code quality, and testability challenges.


• Promote Android development best practices, clean architecture, and effective pattern usage.


• Lead technical projects to ensure successful delivery.

Your qualifications

• Strong experience in Android reactive development:
  
  
  Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flows, RxJava (being replaced), Jetpack Compose.


• Experience with Clean Architecture & Modularization.


• Experience with Design System.


• Testing mindset with JUnit, Mockk, instrumented tests.


• Ability to take leadership & ownership, aligned with business priorities.


• Full working proficiency in English.


• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-growing, innovative environment.
