Retail Business Development Manager – Consumer Electronics (Home Appliances)



A leading home appliance brand is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager/ Account Manager in France to drive expansion across electrical retailers, DIY chains and etailers.


With a strong reputation for high-quality products and significant investment in product development, the company has seen rapid growth, reaching over £50m in sales in 2024, with European markets showing the fastest increase.



We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic Business Development Manager [retail accounts] to strengthen our client's retail distribution and accelerate sales growth.


There is currently no business/accounts in France and this is a key market for the brand and business.



The business currently operates through a network of distributors and marketplaces, with all European products shipped from a German warehouse and supported by sales agents in Germany and Spain.

Role & Responsibilities




  • Develop and execute a strategy to grow revenue through improved retail distribution across France

  • Lead all French sales operations

  • Build and strengthen relationships with key retailers to expand brand presence.

  • Work closely with the product development team to align future innovations with sales channels.

  • Leverage marketplaces strategically to support growth initiatives.

  • Once business has been won/ accounts have been opened, this person will be responsbile for managing those accounts.





Key Skills & Experience




  • Proven track record in developing retail distribution across France

  • Strong experience managing sales in consumer electronics or small domestic appliances

  • Expertise in French retail markets, with a deep understanding of how marketplaces fit into the landscape.

  • Fluent in English and ideally French.



Ideal Candidate Profile




  • Experience of developing and managing retailer relationships in France

  • Self-starter with strong motivation and leadership qualities.

  • Team-oriented and able to collaborate across different levels of the organization.

  • Based in Germany or Benelux, with flexibility to travel throughout Europe.



Package & Benefits



Competitive salary up to €90 000 per annum (negotiable based on experience).
