We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager for an on-site role based in Paris, France.

You will oversee our metal manufacturing operations for automotive components.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals, optimizing production processes, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage day-to-day manufacturing operations for automotive metal components, including production scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control, to meet production targets and customer requirements.

Lead and develop a team of supervisors, engineers, technicians, and production workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance, morale, and engagement.

Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Optimize manufacturing processes and workflows to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness, utilizing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, supply chain, and quality assurance, to drive operational excellence, resolve issues, and achieve business objectives.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost, analyzing trends and variances to identify opportunities for improvement and corrective actions.

Develop and manage the plant budget, capital expenditure plans, and cost control initiatives to optimize resource utilization and achieve financial targets.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices in the workplace.

Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.

Prepare regular reports and presentations on plant performance, including production metrics, financial results, and operational challenges, for senior management and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing management roles within the automotive industry, with a focus on metal manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes, including stamping, welding, machining, and assembly.

Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals and objectives.

Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and manufacturing software applications.

Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a focus on data-driven solutions and performance improvement.
