Job Description Family Description Applied R&D (AR) consists of target-oriented research either with the goal of solving a particular problem / answering a specific question or for multi-discipline design, development, and implementation of hardware, software, and systems including maintenance support.

AR work is characterised by its detailed and complex nature in order to systematically combine existing knowledge and practices to further developing and incrementally improving products, operational processes, and customer-specific feature development.
Subfamily Description Software (SWA) comprises the definition, specification, and allocation of requirements from different sources utilising knowledge of systems engineering processes (specification & architecture).
Contains processing of use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional description.
Covers specification, design, implementation, and unit testing of Software (e.g.
device drivers, microcode, hardware-related software & firmware) according to the requirements and architecture defined in the systems engineering process.
Covers establishment and maintenance of Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices into software development projects, continuously building and integrating infrastructure tools and systems.
Responsibilities As a software development engineer (m/f), You will join the Base Band Platform Software Research and Development team.
The team is in charge to develop a low level layer for new products and features on Baseband platform provided by Nokia for all wireless technologies, including 5G, 5G-advanced & 6G, intended to be delivered to customers worldwide The team you'll be part of Mobile Networks offers the full range of network deployment services, products, and solutions to our customers.
The MN entity offers the full portfolio for solutions as a leader in 4G, 5G.
The Mobile Networks Business Unit has an opportunity for an Engineer to support the definition of the security architecture and maintain requirements for our Mobile network products and features management systems.
This role requires someone who has a deep understanding about the methods and performance requirements for distribution of time/phase and frequency in base stations.
As software designer , you will join the Baseband & Soc platform team.
The team is in charge to develop middleware for new products and features on Baseband platform provided by Nokia for all wireless technologies, including 5G, 5G-advanced & 6G.
Our team is composed of software designers who participate to software architecture, code and tests of low-level software functionalities linked to Network features included in Nokia products.
Responsibilities What you will learn and contribute to You will be focused on Baseband Platform HW boardssimulation development.
In this context, you:
Participate to the HW simulation architecture definition , Do the code using specific modelling language (DML) and test the new development.
Participate to the support and maintenance activity during Software Platform system integration on the HW board simulation Follow the issues found in simulation with the 3rd parties vendors.
Qualifications Your skills and experience â?¢ M.S.
in Telecommunications/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/ or related field and 8 years of experience in design, and/or development.
â?¢ Development using C/C++ , python, shell scripts.
â?¢ Knowledge using Linux and real time software â?¢ Knowledge of IP protocols (mac /VLAN/IP V4/IP V6/UDP/TCP/FTP/DHCP/) Deeper knowledge within one of these domains will be greatly appreciated:
â?¢ Ethernet switches configuration â?¢ Knowledge in Hardware processor and devices (switches, soc, FPGA) â?¢ knowledge of the SIMICS Simulation tool and its associated DML Language is a plus.
