Bilingual New Business Specialist Why you’ll love this role The New Business Specialist is responsible for the intake of all information required to implement a new group and manage the end to end implementation of new group clients.

The incumbent is guided by defined procedural instruction and frequent checking, and works under the close supervision of the Supervisor, Group New Business & Amendments.

What you’ll be working on Monitor the progress of multiple ongoing implementations and provide regular updates to the customers and distribution partners Apply knowledge of systems, products, processes and contract wording to quickly and efficiently resolve challenges that arise during the implementation process to ensure a smooth implementation process for the customer Work cooperatively with distribution partners and customers to ensure all information required to implement a new group is complete and accurate Manage the end to end implementation process; collaborates with the New Business Coordinators to ensure commitments are achievable and met Create a strong first impression of Empire by demonstrating a personal touch, being easy to do business with and professional Provide prompt and accurate resolution to complex issues Evaluate and gather additional information, if required; formulate and communicate decisions to ensure a smooth process for the client Work with appropriate peers to recommend and/or establish special contract and/or booklet presentation as required Liaise effectively with end customers, distribution partners and other business units Provide solutions and subsequent resolution of client concerns to minimize escalation to Management Support the service and administrative requirements of the business unit What you’ll need to have Bilingualism (English/French) Completion of a University degree in business administration or related discipline 3+ years work experience in the insurance/financial services industry or an office environment Working towards ACS designation through LOMA or taking Group Primer courses/CEBS is considered an asset Working knowledge of group products, contract provisions and administrative procedures Working knowledge of Employee Benefits administration system is an asset Working knowledge of document generation tools is an asset Experience in a customer facing role is an asset Ability to present information clearly and logically to a variety of audiences (internal and external) Ability to think logically, analyze and solve problems Solution based thinking Attention to detail/accuracy Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks or projects Ability to work independently and as a team member Well-developed verbal and written communication skills Well-developed customer relations skills Beyond the salary For regular full-time positions, Empire Life offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including:
