Design Function - Review and comprehend customer project documentation (specifications, architectural drawings) - Design solutions and prepare Submittal Drawings for internal and customer review - Design solution concepts to meet Functional requirements considering plant manufacturing capabilities and limitations - Generate manufacturing drawings in CAD software with specifications, instructions and BOM - Provide DXFs for manufacturing programs Product and Process Development - Materials take-off and purchasing requisitions - Preparation of Manufacturing Drawings.
- Creation of BOM, Process Routes (Bill of Manufacturing steps) in Nelson’s ERP system - Generation of technical documentation – specs, instructions, check lists etc.
Technical and Technological Support - Provide assistance on cost evaluation in support of Estimation process - Assist production during the manufacturing process with technical advice, organizational support - Fixture design and tooling procurement for process optimization as required - Support for prototyping, shop assistance during validation and production runs - Support and Coordinate with Architects, Designers and Contractors ensuring efficient project completion Minimum Qualifications - 5 to 15 years of sheet metal design and fabrication experience - Exposure to Ceiling systems, Wall Claddings, Column Covers, Accents will be an advantage - Expert knowledge of SolidWorks or Solid Edge NelsonIndustrialInc.
