About the role We are looking for a Director,Infrastructure,Security & DataCentreOperations.
Reporting to the VP IT Infrastructure, you will be in a highly visible role that is responsible to build and lead the infrastructure security program.
You will be also responsible to solidify the DataCentre Strategy and Operations.
As part of this cross-functional role, the Director,Infrastructure,Security & DataCentreOperations, will have the following responsibilities:
Manage a highly visible team of managers and professionals responsible for infrastructure security and datacentreoperations.
Partner closely with IT security and infrastructure operations teams to ensure all infrastructure is compliant to security policies, standards, and controls.
Collaborate with IT Security peers to ensure the security policies, standards, and controls are continuously reviewed and applied.
Lead risk assessments on critical business systems and shared infrastructure services.
Collaborate with IT security to ensure appropriate cybersecurity controls, risks and mitigation actions are effective and follow agreed timelines.
Manage steering and governance committees to ensure the right stakeholders are informed and involved in ongoing security remediation, posture, and activities.
Work closely with the other security teams and technical teams to ensure cybersecurity controls are properly deployed and remain effective.
Develop and manage a roadmap and strategy supporting the cyber governance, risk, and compliance functions, including an operational and project budget.
Build strong relationships with peers to ensure compliance with the implementation of the technology vision.
Establish DataCentre Strategy in line with the hybrid cloud strategy.
Partner with Real Estate to ensure DataCentre facilities and controls are enforced and maintained to support systems availability.
Establish Disaster Recovery process for all critical applications.
Harden end-to-end Disaster recovery tests to ensure procedures and environments are operational to support all scenarios.
Establish DataCentre Strategy in line with the hybrid cloud strategy.
Partner with Infrastructure Shared Services team to forecast growth.
Anticipate problems and difficult situations and take the necessary steps to resolve them.
Ensure proactive and effective communication at all levels of the IT organization.
Manage relationships with peers, senior management, and key project leaders (where applicable) and meet agreed upon expectations.
Ensure resources are working on priority projects, requests, and issues (manage priorities).
Effectively establish and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
Be a collaborative leader who successfully engages their team to drive IT infrastructure and design activities in support of the IT mission, leveraging industry best practices.
Ensure the team has the expertise to support the IT mission by enabling appropriate training.
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or other relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Experience managing cybersecurity either of the key functions of the Governance, Risks or Compliance.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and initiatives at once.
Experience in heterogeneous and complex IT environments.
A background in other areas of DataCentreOperations is advantageous.
Experience speaking to executive leadership teams, board members and regulatory agencies.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
