QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And ExperiencePost-basic education in Gastroenterology and Urodynamics; training in Endoscopy, Urodynamics, MinorSurgicalSpecialtyclinics, Procedural Sedation, and two (2) years recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.Basic Life Support, Level C.Skills And AbilitiesApply nursing process as required and described in BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards of Nursing Practice.Demonstrate sound organizational, problem solving, and teaching skillsDemonstrate sound judgement, observation and patient assessment skillsDemonstrate tact and empathyPrioritise and organize patient demands made and care needsOperate related equipmentRemain calm and respond appropriately in stressful and emergency situationsWork as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare teamFoster good public relationsCommunicate effectively, both verbally and in writingPhysically able to perform the duties of the positionWork independently, with limited supervision.
