BridgewaySupport Services, a division of BridgewayFamilyHomes, is seeking highly-skilled Child and Youth Workers to support families, children and youth who are experiencing a range of social, emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges through a goal-focused service.
You will be part of a team and your role will be to provide services in the client’s home and in the community.
We are looking for individuals to provide services between 15 - 25 hours per week with a typical part-time schedule that includes providing services during the week with daytime and evening hours between 3:
00 pm - 9:
00 pm and some weekend sessions.
As previously stated, this is a part-time role, and schedules are based on our client’s needs.
Responsibilities:
Development of goal-focused activities.
Implementation of programs.
Behaviour Management.
Case notes as required.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Child and Youth Work or related Social Service Diploma or Degree.
Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
Organizational, Administrative and Report-Writing Skills.
Knowledge of FASD, ODD, Autism, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders and other diagnosis are beneficial.
Current Crisis Intervention Certification (i.e.
UMAB) with experience in crisis de-escalation is required Current CPR/First Aid is required Requirements:
Current Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Welfare Record Check.
Driver’s Abstract, ‘G’ Class Driver’s License and Insured Vehicle.
