Junior/SeniorGeologicalModeller - Vancouver, BC, CanadaSRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector.We are seeking a Junior/SeniorGeologicalModeller.Description of Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will consult on projects for North American and international clients. Assignments will include geological modelling on a variety of geological systems to support exploration targeting, resource modelling, geotechnical modelling and engineering studies.
Preference would be given to candidates with exposure to 3D modelling and data management, and an understanding of their applications and utility across the Mining value chain.As a consultant, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain client relationships and work in a team environment.
Strong communication skills and interpersonal capabilities are essential.Essential Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
A first degree in geology; preferably a Master’s or PhD in Structural Geology, Geochemistry, Geostatistics or a related disciplineRegistered professional geologist status or eligibility to for registrationA minimum of 3 years experience after graduation in geology, mining and exploration, including at least 1 year of 3D geological modelling experience or data management (Consultant level – up to ~8 years, Senior Consultant – over ~8 years)Proficiency with Leapfrog Geo, Datamine Studio, GIS packages, MOVE Suite.Proven ability to independently (or as part of a team) generate, implement and complete multiple work assignments in a dynamic environmentEffective written and oral communication skillsIn return for considering a future with us, we offer:
