(ANCTI) is a diverse and agile organization providing transportation offloading via rail and truck, site services management, heavy equipment operation, and warehouse solutions both externally and internally on the AlbertaNewsprint Company (ANC) mill site.

ANCTI is currently recruiting for the role of LeadWarehouseOperator.
Reporting to the ANCTI Operations Superintendent, the LeadWarehouseOperator is a working lead within the warehouse team.
The right candidate will be just as eager and able to ensure proper workforce planning and staffing of the warehouse as they are to operate a clamp truck alongside their team.
The warehouse operates on a 24/7 schedule.
The LeadWarehouseOperator will generally work a shift that crosses all other shifts but must be available to support the team through call-ins and/or work overtime as needed.
The actual shift will be determined at commencement.
As the successful candidate, you will be joining us at the initial stages of automation projects, such as AGV’s for offloading, while identifying and supporting additional automation opportunities to further optimize workflow efficiencies.
Having a mechanical ticket is considered a valuable asset.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES This position is located at our mill site in Whitecourt, Alberta.
You will provide leadership to the Finishing and Shipping Team in support of ANC Transloading Inc.’s (ANCTI) Operations Superintendent.
Your ability to provide leadership as related to the following are considered musts for this position:
Manage and maintain the Warehouse workforce staffing plan in accordance with the shipping schedule Responsible for Warehouse employee supervision and daily operations Manage and develop KPI and budget objectives, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions Lead departmental goals in support of employee development and in alignment with ANCTI’s short - and long-term goals Responsible for the safe and efficient loading and shipping of ANC’s finished newsprint and other paper products to final customer destinations in coordination with ANC’s Logistics Manager Frontline activities of loading ANC products is a primary task of this position Load securement management QUALIFICATIONS 5 years minimum management experience in a safe, innovative, and positive team environment Transportation / Warehouse experience is a must.
AGV and other automated process experience would bring added value Working knowledge of load securement regulations for AAR and National Safety Code for Cargo Securement Managing industrial asset health and maintenance workflow Supervision experience Project management experience Mechanical ticket would be considered an asset Please be advised that we will only be considering applicants who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or those who have a valid & current Canadian work permit.
