Experience in P&C Insurance As a ProjectManager you will plan, monitor and manage internal projects from initiation through completion, with a special focus on process improvement related projects using the Lean Six Sigma methodology.
You will also lead and/or coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management.
Furthermore, you will ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost as well as monitor performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.
Responsibilities are within the Project/Program.
Oversee the established project vision.
Participate in the definition of project objectives, scope and deliverables by collaborating with project director and/or sponsor.
Develop and maintain up-to-date project plans, effectively estimate duration and costs, participate in resource identification and designation for tasks Develop and manage the detailed project schedule, budget, and project management plans (e.g.
Follow and control the project evolution and communicate progress made, in line with corporate policies, standards and project governance established Effectively plan and facilitate meetings; create and effectively communicate presentations related to milestones, budget expenditures, issue resolution, project status to various audiences of stakeholders Conduct overall project/program reporting aligned to established KPIs Identify problem situations, handle them, take action and suggest solutions.
Aid in elicitation and identification of project risks; manage risks including contingency and critical path, leveraging governance in place.
Evaluate and integrate a change management approach aligned with established frameworks and best practices.
Monitor project implementation efforts and transition issues to ensure business risks are identified and solutions are recommended.
Ensure follow-up and troubleshoot problems.
Make sure an appropriate methodology is used throughout the project lifecycle.
Make sure the team has all the necessary tools to do its job; coach, facilitate knowledge transfer and conflict resolution where required.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Lean Six Sigma certification or combination of education and experience.
5 - 7 years of experience coordinating or leading projects.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
Experience in P&C Insurance and Agile Planning Methodology is an asset. RandstadCanada TorontoOntario
