Job Description MottMacDonald is looking for a qualitymanager to join a major transit program in Toronto. Responsibilities of this position will include, but may not be limited to:
Oversight of processes and best practice for quality management on large infrastructure projects/programsReporting to agencies and ministries of governmentPlan and perform Quality Assurance (QA) oversight surveillances and audits within Canada and the North American region, including tasks such as pre-audit activities; conducting audits (meetings & interviews); preparation of reports; and performing post-audit follow-upsProvide leadership and direction for Quality management on large projects, such as:
Support establishing, managing, maintaining, and implementing the Quality Policy and Quality Management Systems (QMS), including the Quality Management Plan (QMP) and quality procedures in accordance with ISO 9001Assemble and distribute Project Quality Compliance ReportsProcurement and Contract Package SupportCollaborate and coordinate with Project/Program partners, Contract Package teams, Team Leads, and Document Control Teams to provide support for quality-related activitiesSupport and develop quality program training and awareness to the project teamProvide QA oversight of the project/program design teamAssess and provide quality requirements in procurement documentsPerform QA certifications for work product documentsTrack and monitor work product development during Quality Planning through QCPerform QA certifications (including reviews of contract package documents) (using established SharePoint Deliverables Review)Determine nonconformances findings, issue corrective action requests (when warranted, and monitor the effectiveness of Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions (CAPA) and measuresIdentify and assess critical quality-related issues and implement preventive measures Development, review, and maintenance of Project Quality Records Candidate Specification The ideal candidate will have the following required experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related fieldMinimum 10 years of experience in quality management in an engineering related fieldPreferred - minimum 5 years of experience on quality management in multi-disciplinary engineering design organization Knowledge of professional licensing requirements across various Canadian jurisdictions would be an assetFamiliarity with ISO 9001ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (certified by Exemplar Global or equivalent ISO-recognized certification body) preferred or must be obtained within 3 monthsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience working with SharePoint, Excel, ProjectWise, BIM360 or similarCommitment to continuous improvement and innovationProven experience defining, drafting and refining quality management work processes Job Profile Opening opportunities with connected thinking.
