Position Description:
Key Accountabilities:
The ResearchOperationsManager will oversee all study operations, including but not limited to:
Liaise and collaborate with study investigators and stakeholdersProvide fiscal management and support the reporting obligations associated with the primary project and other projects, applicableMonitor key performance and other indicators (e.g., participant recruitment) Provide support to grant-funded projects related to the ongoing initiativeWork with the ResearchOperations, Services and Support Office departments to meet and maintain institutional, regulatory and department requirements, such as REB submissions, developing contracts/agreements, etcOversee and support knowledge mobilization activities, including activities such as conferences, workshops and special events as well as support in other Division-wide initiativesAssist in writing new grants and research protocols, as neededSupport the researching and writing of manuscripts and content related to presentations, as neededSupport the coordination of regular meetings and infrastructure to ensure deliverables are met Manage all aspects of human resources including recruitment, hiring, training, and daily supervision of research staff and trainees; Oversee staff and proactively identify staff training needs, professional development needs and performance managementEnsuring compliance of research personnel with CAMH institutional and research policies, procedures and regulationsYou will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
This position is located at 80 Workman Way.Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Master’s Degree in a related field (e.g.
psychology, neuroscience, Health Administration, Social Work) and at least 5 years of relevant research experience is required.
Previous research or service with individuals and/or families with mentalhealth is considered an asset.
In addition, the successful candidate will possess the following skills:
Previous management experience is requiredStrong understanding of regulatory guidelines & research governance of human participant research (ICH GCP, TCPS2, Health Canada regulations, FDA, etc.) is requiredExperience with large scale clinical trials and/or multi-centre studies is required; Certification as a Clinical Research Professional is considered an asset Experience with the Canadian and U.S.
funding landscape is requiredPrevious experience with neuropsychological and clinical assessments is considered an assetExperience and knowledge of electronic data capture systems (e.g.
REDCap) is preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills is requiredWell-honed time management skills with the ability to efficiently multi-task and produce high-quality, accurate work while meeting deadlines, maintaining flexibility to changing priorities and remaining solution-focused.
Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects is ideal.
