Vancouver, BC Our client is a leading name in the BC heavy civil infrastructure industry.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced SeniorCivilEstimator to take the helm of their bidding process.
If you thrive on tackling diverse and technically challenging heavy civil infrastructure projects, ranging from municipal utility works to large-scale, multi-year design-build ventures worth hundreds of millions, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately interpret plans & specifications to determine project scope and define unique requirements Prepare comprehensive estimates for diverse heavy civil construction projects, both big and small Contribute technical writing expertise for RFP submissions when necessary Duties:
Develop a strategic plan for estimating project needs based on a thorough analysis Identify subcontractor packages, solicit subcontract tenders, and integrate these into your estimate Calculate all self-perform costs, including labor, equipment, and materials Generate complete estimates using Hard Dollar software Compile an estimate risk analysis and present detailed findings via a bid review meeting to the Estimating Manager and General Manager Collaborate effectively with joint venture partners on major project pursuits, including Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposals (RFP) Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years' experience in preparing estimates for a variety of heavy civil construction projects, with a focus on underground utilities and roadworks Proficiency in estimating software such as HCSS, Hard Dollar, or Bid2Win is highly desirable Solid Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and MS Projects Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment A robust work ethic and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all business matters A valid Driver's License Why Join Our Client?
