DatalabSpecialist.
The Sr.
DatalabSpecialist manages the new product introduction process for CDW's product catalog.
This involves executing financial controls, complying with audits, creating and editing standard operating procedures (SOP), enforcing policies, transforming / loading data and delivering process improvement.
The successful Sr.
DatalabSpecialist excels at understanding the needs of our data customers and translating their voice into improved processes, controls, measurements and innovation.
The Sr.
DatalabSpecialist is focused on the most important data and can work both inside the organization and without to deliver improved business outcomes that have significant impact.
This role works especially close with our data customers in the Sales and Finance Department.
Key Areas of Responsibility · Build and maintain relationships with data customers, including Sales, Product Management, Purchasing, Finance, Vendors and Partners, with an aim to understand and document their needs.
· Measure and track data quality levels for key values and processes, especially focused on errors at the point of data creation.
· Responsible for ServiceNow ticket management application to maintain acceptable response times for NPI (New Product Introduction) requests.
· Improve, document and execute a multi-layered program of controls for key system data values.
· Lead improvement projects which eliminate root causes of error, improve measured quality levels and provides the organization with data that is easier to use, less costly to manage and drive improved business outcomes.
· Monitor and enforce Financial controls ensuring compliance with SOX standards.
· Leverage BI tools (Tableau) and databases (Access/SQL) to gain actionable insight into data.
· Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP), cross-functional flow charts and other control, training and reference documentation.
· Project Management related to CDW and team initiatives.
· Manage data creation as a process, reflecting the customer's needs.
· Learn and amplify the voice of the most important data customers across the team and organization.
· Develop new features and innovate new solutions that have measurable impact or mitigate risk.
· Work interdepartmentally and internationally to ensure consistency and efficiency of Product Data throughout the organization, including United State and CDW UK.
Education and/or Expertise Qualifications · Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience in product data management, partner management, finance, marketing or related.
· OR equivalent 8 years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing or IT Channel experience Required Qualifications · Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (ex.
Excel and Access).
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Can effectively communicate with both business and IT stakeholders.
· Demonstrated ability to think critically and problem solve.
Connecting business needs to the IT systems and data structures required to reliably deliver holistic solutions.
Preferred Qualifications · Working knowledge of AS400 or similar ERP · Previous experience in the technology industry · Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, MDX CDW TorontoOntario
