The Senior Web Communications Advisor is a key position within the Digital Communications team, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies that strengthens CNSC’s web presence and aligns with CNSC and Government of Canada requirements and standards.

You will provide leadership and expertise in the development and implementation of web strategies.

Here’s a snapshot of the responsibilities:

•Provide advice on web related communications strategies.•Advise on web page content style, design, usage and guidelines.•Manage web projects.

•Provide oversight of web content development.

•Perform ongoing quality control and review of the websites’ content and functionality to ensure they meet corporate communications goals and objectives.

•Advocate for plain language, web writing principles and techniques.•Works closely with CNSC’s Information Management and Technologies Directorate to ensure the timely posting of high-quality content.

•Identify governance issues and opportunities for web content improvement with web statistics and analysis.

Essential Qualifications Education:

University degree or college diploma in a program related to marketing/communications, web content management/development, web writing/editing, or an equivalent combination of education, relevant experience and job knowledge.Language Requirements:

Bilingual imperative with proficiency at BBB level.

•Significant

* experience developing accessible Government of Canada web pages and content in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)•Developing and implementing a corporate web strategy •Providing advice and collaborating on strategic web-related efforts to various groups, including technical specialists•Assessing and reporting on web data/analytics with the help of various tools, for example, Webtrends, SiteImprove and Google Analytics•Developing collaborative relationships with diverse partners and internal stakeholders
* Significant experience is defined as a minimum of one year experience.

* Recent is defined as the experience acquired within the last five years.Knowledge of:

•Web design principles and the use of editing software, Adobe design suite, and other tools.

Including knowledge of HTML5 best coding practices.•Treasury Board policies:

Standards on Web Accessibility, Web Usability, Web Interoperability, and Web Experience Toolkit (WET).•Web standards and guidelines, best practices, including Canada.ca design systems, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and inclusivity.
