Bus transportation to and from site is provided free of charge from several locations within the region.Mount Milligan promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.About the OpportunityWe have an opportunity for a full-time Technician,MillOperations to join our Mount Milligan Mine operations site.This is a camp-based position, with a set work schedule of 7/7, Wednesday to Tuesday, 12 hours per day.Reporting to the MillOperations Supervisor, the Technician,MillOperations will be responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of the crushing and milling complex as required.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Maintain the operational integrity of all areas in the mill, to achieve safety, environmental, quality, costs, and production targetsOperating and monitoring various circuits in the processing plant as required by the supervisor.
Circuits include Grinding, Crushing, Tailings, Reagent Mixing, and Concentrate DewateringDevelop an understanding of all mill circuits through training and experience, while advancing through the mill technician progression planActively participates in mentoring and training othersUnderstands and complies with all company policies and proceduresAble to learn and become proficient in the operation of mobile equipment (skid steer, wheel loader, mini excavator, overhead crane, and aerial work platform) training to be provided by the companyPerforms any other responsibilities related to the Technician,MillOperations role as required or as assigned by the department headAbout YouTo qualify, you must have 3-5 years of experience operating a variety of mill circuits including:
Grinding, Crushing, Tailings, Reagent Mixing, and Concentrate Dewatering.
You must also possess a valid driver’s license and have access to personal transportation.The following skills and experiences will also be critical to successfully performing this role:
Experience with Confined Space, Lock Out Tag Out, and Fall Arrest is an assetAbility to work in adverse weather conditionsProficient with computers and computer-based systems.
