They are looking for a VP Finance who will will oversee and manage all Finance and Accounting activities for the company.
The role will also be involved in all aspects of the organization as a true business partner.
Why Work Here Strong emphasis on evolving and growing the business Broad exposure role with the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the business Strong work life balance About the Opportunity Be inquisitive, ask questions, learn the business so when participating in bi-weekly management meetings, one can challenge other managers to improve operations, sales and customer engagement Review monthly consolidated financial statements and reports, including KPI’s, variance analysis with a view to recommend improvements and change (both financially and operationally) Implement and monitor financial controls, ensuring effective safeguarding of Company assets Prepare and coordinate annual operating budgets Coordinate annual external financial statement review engagement, including managing year-end schedules and working papers Liaise with legal, audit & tax advisors and direct their activity, as required Manage IT and ERP functions including a full company-wide analysis of policies, procedures, workflows, checks & balances; Ongoing financial analysis and review of operations to reduce costs and maximize profitability (GP%, inventory level, investments, etc.) Review, approve and sign Company cheques Review and negotiate insurance policies and real property leases Monitor and manage foreign exchange risk and effect hedging transactions to mitigate risk, as appropriate Establish and monitor customer credit policies and supervise collection of delinquent receivables Investigate and pursue various grants, subsidies and tax incentives Manage cashflow including investing excess cash Manage all legal contracts including customer and supplier agreements Investigate and pursue corporate incentives with local government officials About You CPA designation Experience in leading the finance function for a small/mid-sized company Industry experience in telecom, tangible goods, or services preferred Business/operations focused - demonstrate that you are more than an accountant and can take data, make sense of it and drive changes that lead to cost savings, efficiency gains, better customer service etc.
