THE ROLE We are looking for an EventSalesManager to join our pre-opening team.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
To achieve budgeted revenues in Events Rooms, Conference and Banqueting in keeping with the annual budget and marketing plan To understand and maintain costing of all relevant functions Satisfies the needs of the guests whilst optimizing hotel revenue through strategic yield management and up selling of hotel facilities and services Attends and holds meetings with the Kitchen and Banqueting Operations team to ensure briefings are held, guest satisfaction is exceeded and help ensure return business Sends all correspondence to clients regarding banquet events, such as proposals, confirmations, contracts and amendments Conducts site inspections, client entertainment and familiarization visits Establishes and maintains files of major accounts and bookings and ensures all maintained in the accounts management system Establishes parameters, quotes and negotiates prices with customers for group business To effectively administrate and manage all group bedrooms and event bookings as per bookings procedures Leads a small team YOUR PROFILE Further education required, preferably in hotel management or business administration Previous work experience in Conference and Events Sales in Managerial position Previous experience working in a 5-star hotel environment is preferred Hotel pre-opening experience would be an advantage Understanding of local market trends and seasonality Capability to work independently and manage multiple projects under pressure Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Salesforce Delphi Proficient bilingual oral and writing skills (German/English) Excellent writing, presentation, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills High attention to detail, proactive and goal-driven approach Able to successfully lead and motivate a small team to achieve goals Due to visa restrictions, the successful candidate must already be eligible to work in Switzerland.
