I am currently recruiting, on behalf of a confidential global aerospace company, for a 2nd Shift CNC Lathe/MillTurn Operator to join their Haverhill facility, a world-class manufacturer of precision machined aerospace components.
Context
This leading aerospace company designs complex assemblies and systems solutions for aircraft and engine manufacturers, as well as defence and space agencies.

Your key responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and launch new products and programs
Perform set-ups, checking tool and fixture clearance
Review new programs to avoid machine crashes and ensure accurate touch-offs
Identify and correct mistakes during the set-up process
Essential Responsibilities:
Set up and operate production machines in line with established procedures and guidelines
Read and interpret blueprints and programs
Perform a variety of complex tasks
May lead and direct the work of others and is a qualified trainer (as per the skills matrix)
Follow 6S guidelines in the work area
Candidate Profile:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role or related field
Familiarity with a variety of aerospace concepts, practices, and procedures
Ability to work within tight tolerances and established parameters
Experience with tolerances of +/ - .001
Proficiency in the use and understanding of a variety of gages, including but not limited to bore gages, Johnson gages, pitch mics, and indicators for setting and establishing work offsets
Experience with mill/turns is a plus
Team player with a positive attitude
