Role Overview:
Business Development Lead for Space SectorThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record in securing new business through competitive bidding.
Your responsibilities will include creating and executing strategies to win contracts with European enterprise and institutional space organizations.
You will lead bid teams, develop proposals, and build strategic relationships within the industry.
- Plan and manage proposal projects with multidisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate with technical experts and partners to craft solutions and lead proposal development.
- Map and stay informed about European space organizations and their procurement processes.
- Develop and maintain a network of European industry partners.
- Monitor market trends, identify threats and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management.
- Exhibit confidence, adaptability, resilience, and strong negotiation skills.

Your Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or related engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years in the space industry, with specific experience engaging European enterprise and institutional clients.
- Effective communication with technical and business stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking, quick learning, relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel and relocate to Strasbourg if necessary.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud enterprise software.
- Start-up or scale-up experience in dynamic environments.
- Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills.
- French language proficiency is a plus.
