The Commercial Finance Manager, South EMEA, functions as a finance business partner to the VP South EMEA, aiming to improve business profitability and operational efficiency.


  • Partner closely with commercial teams on business planning and analytical activities to ensure accurate and timely financial forecasts.

  • As a member of the South EMEA Region Leadership Team, provide value-added business analysis and financial insights to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Manage financial performance for the South EMEA region and support strategic financial objectives across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

  • Assist the Commercial VP in establishing sustainable strategies and business plans to drive profitable sales and OIBT growth at the cluster/country level.

  • Guide clusters/countries on financial objectives and ensure proper execution of plans, including defining and managing spending requirements.

  • Participate actively in pricing governance and initiatives for portfolios and major tenders to optimize financial results.

  • Conduct hands-on financial planning activities, including monthly, quarterly forecasts, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Long Range Plan (LRP).

  • Provide variance, trend, and benchmark analyses to understand financial performance across regions and clusters.

  • Offer insights on business drivers, identify opportunities and challenges, and communicate findings to management, proposing solutions to enhance growth and performance.

  • Advise on business improvement opportunities and oversee the implementation of improvement initiatives using performance metrics.

  • Assess investments for growth initiatives through financial modeling and business case development, promoting data-driven decision-making.

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Excellence team to govern market and revenue models, challenge assumptions, and validate scenarios using data analytics.

  • Support the commercial VP in business reviews with clusters/countries and senior management.

  • Maintain regular communication with EMEA and International Finance regarding regional business and financial performance, fulfilling information requests.

  • Coordinate with regional controllers on monthly closing activities to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.

  • Develop expertise in products, therapies, and regional market specifics through continuous learning.
