About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Domain Architect / Cybersecurity Architect to join a dynamic team supporting a major player in the insurance sector.
This freelance role offers the opportunity to contribute to IT domain transformation projects by providing architectural guidance and ensuring security best practices across multiple layers, including business, functional, application, and technical architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main architectural contact for your IT domain and support its ongoing transformation.
- Propose IT scenarios during feasibility studies to support project planning.
- Model and map architectural plans across business, functional, application, and technical layers.
- Write and present architectural documentation to steering committees and project stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with domain teams, security experts, and production/integration teams during project phases.
- Produce and maintain high-quality documentation and domain maps within company repositories.
- Maintain knowledge of application, infrastructure, and workstation security solutions, including cloud and hybrid environments.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Solid experience as a Domain Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Cybersecurity Architect, preferably within regulated industries such as insurance or finance.
- Strong knowledge of the TOGAF architectural framework.
- Familiarity with security protocols, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience with architectural modeling and documentation across multiple layers.
- Understanding of cloud integration and hybrid environments.
- Ability to work independently and manage communication with multiple stakeholders.
- French language skills preferred; proficiency in English is required.
Nice to Have:
- Certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor.
- Experience with regulatory audits or third-party risk assessments.
- Knowledge of SIEM, IAM, and incident response practices.
Location & Travel:
This role is based primarily in Niort or Le Mans, France, with regular travel expected between the sites.
