As part of the strategic growth of our Sophia-Antipolis office, agap2 is currently seeking an FPGADesign and PrototypingEngineer to join our team and contribute to a high-value project in collaboration with one of our key partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance and optimize existing FPGA-based prototypes using Synopsys HAPS-100 and Xilinx Virtex-7/UltraScale+ platforms.
Perform RTL integration, synthesis, place-and-route, and timing closure for large-scale designs.
Utilize ProtoCompiler for design partitioning, synthesis, and implementation across multi-FPGA systems.
Use Synopsys Design Compiler for RTL synthesis and optimization in preparation for FPGA or ASIC implementation.
Debug and validate FPGA prototypes using tools such as Synopsys Identify, ChipScope, and Vivado Logic Analyzer.
Collaborate with ASIC/SoC design teams to ensure FPGA compatibility and design fidelity.
Automate FPGA build and validation flows using scripting languages (TCL, Python, Shell).
Support software and firmware teams with early access to hardware platforms for development and testing.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in FPGAdesign and prototyping.
Proficiency in FPGA flow (synthesis, timing analysis, and debugging) on Xilinx (Vivado) and Synopsys (HAPS-100, ProtoCompiler).
Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
Proficiency in scripting (TCL, Python, Shell) for tool automation.
Understanding of ASIC synthesis using DC Compiler.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and capable of working in autonomy.
