English and French Description :
1.Preparation Phase The supervisor will ensure document management via an up-to-date file that can be consulted on site at any time.
HSE Supervisor:
- Prepare safety induction in English and French.
- Prepare the â??Emergency Response Planâ? according to the client standard in English and French.
- Prepare personnel register form - Draw up a list of people working on site, compile and check workers' documents, and generate the qualification matrix.
- Keep a register of authorizations and permissions obtained - Prepare site machinery register - compile a list of construction equipment and check the relevant documentation - Prepare lifting equipment safety register, - Obtain SDSs for all chemicals available on site.
- Participate in and lead the HSE part of the contractors' site fick off meetings.
2.Construction Phase More specifically, the Site Supervisor will:
- Perform safety inductions for all new arrivals/visitors to the site.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks with the various companies present on site.
- Organize specific talks to identify/ identified dangerous situations or prevent the recurrence of an incident.
- Check compliance of site machinery - Check the conformity of lifting equipment - Verify the implementation of preventive measures described in the PGC and PPSPS.
- Check implementation of client´s HSE policy and rules - Verify the implementation of the measures described in Client´s PDGE and in the EAPs of the companies involved.
- Collect the BSDs from the companies and fill in the client monitoring table on a monthly basis.
- Check that chemical products are stored and used in accordance with suppliers' recommendations and regulations.
- Ensure that waste are sorted in accordance with regulations and legal requirements.
- Obtain and verify work permits for activities requiring them - Carry out a review of work methodologies and risk analyses before starting up any new activity.
- In the event of a change in the way work is carried out, assist companies in putting in place the necessary and sufficient procedures to control the risks associated with the changes.
- Assist companies and client in classifying incidents and analyzing root causes, in line with the methodology recommended by client.
- Assist companies in defining agreed corrective and/or preventive actions following an incident or any deviation from HSE rules.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions - Propose improvement and/or preventive measures to reduce non-conformities - Check compliance with the maximum number of hours worked by workers - Compile weekly working hours and transmit records - Assist client in managing coactivity with lo-local companies/operators (communications, meetings, ) - Participate in weekly site meetings and lead the specific HSE section.
- Ensure that the Emergency Plan is applied in the event of an accident, and organize emergency drills (2 minimum).
- Manage any chemical spraying by communicating with farmers and companies.
