Head of HR position in Europe for a famous Japanese retail brand.
Reporting to the Managing Director Europe, this position works in collaboration with all the departments, manages 50 employees at the head office in London and 20 in the European region.
Mission Initiate, define, and implement an effective and innovative humanresources strategy during and after restructuring, and define the conditions for its application.
Act as a strategic partner for the Managing Director on all HR related issues, and in building the executive committee for Europe.
Manage HR development, be a leader in opening new flagships and motivating teams.
Supervise personnel administration and payroll management.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Organizational development Conduct an internal audit on the efficiency of the current organization and provide input for optimizing the organizational structure.
Provide procedures for assessing individual performance against defined objectives and performance standards.
Change Management Be a key player in restructuring based on teamwork and cross-functionality.
Guarantee continuous, controlled monitoring of change and related resistance.
Training and Development Identify the levels and types of current and future skills and capabilities required of employees.
Coordinate and contribute to the development, organization, and implementation of training programs to meet current and future business needs.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training activities and make any necessary modifications and adjustments.
Train employees to understand personal and company objectives and how their role contributes to achieving them.
Train employees to understand company values.
Career Development Advise employees on their career expectations and responsibilities.
Promote internal mobility, creating processes to identify individual potential and promote employees to senior positions.
Goal Setting and Performance Development Facilitate objective setting with department managers to help them develop their talents and ensure that each organization implements challenging objectives.
Prepare development plans reflecting the company's needs in the short and medium term.
Coach managers on how to develop team performance.
Salaries, Contracts Develop global compensation packages in line with the company strategy.
Ensure that the remuneration policy practiced is consistent with the market while being profitable, make recommendations to the Managing Director regarding pay and bonus levels (create sales bonus programs to create/stimulate a sales-oriented culture).
Analyze and research compensation systems used in comparable sectors/businesses.
Understand the legal provisions of contracts and collective bargaining agreements and liaise with trade unions.
Recruitment Define and implement the recruitment and HR policy:
analyze and validate needs, choose the recruitment and HR actions to be carried out.
Oversee the drafting of s and candidate profiles.
Identify the key competencies required for future roles based on the company's global strategy and ensure that HR processes and decisions are consistent with these competencies.
For external recruitment, lead and manage the process, working with recruitment agencies where necessary.
For internal recruitment, ensure that all internal candidates are considered when vacancies arise.
Monitor the selection procedure to optimize the choice of short-listed candidates.
Ensure that candidate information is retained, organized, and electronically shared with other HR staff for future recruitment purposes.
Manage the interview process with each department manager.
Ensure that the recruitment budget is established and adhered to, in agreement with the Managing Director.
EDUCATION Higher studies.
LANGUAGES English and French.
EXPERIENCE Minimum 6 years of professional experience, with a retail experience in fashion, home, or design.
