As our first-ever HR Manager, you will build and manage all aspects of human resources for our dynamic and fast-paced organization of 30+ employees (growing to 50+ in the coming months).
This is a unique opportunity for a skilled HR professional with a generalist background and expertise in recruitment to create HR processes, policies, and strategies from scratch.

Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for various roles, focusing on headhunting top-tier talent.
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract candidates aligned with our mission and values.
- Build strong talent pipelines for technical and non-technical positions.
- Oversee onboarding to ensure new hires' success.
- Audit and improve current compensation schemes to stay competitive and aligned with market trends.
- Create performance-based bonus structures to reward high achievers.
- Advise leadership on compensation adjustments and incentive plans to boost engagement and retention.
- HR Operations
- Design and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems supporting business goals.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws across all jurisdictions.
- Manage employee records, contracts, and performance evaluations.
- Culture & Employee Engagement
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, high-performance workplace culture.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and staff on HR matters.
- Implement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
- Learning & Development
- Identify training needs across the organization.
- Implement growth, learning, and leadership development programs.
- Strategic HR Planning
- Partner with leadership to forecast workforce needs and align HR strategies with company objectives.
- Provide insights to improve organizational structure, compensation, and benefits.
Who You Are
- Experienced Generalist:
5+ years in HR, with a focus on recruitment and headhunting.
- Compensation Strategist:
Skilled in designing and implementing competitive compensation structures, including performance bonuses.
- Recruitment Expert:
Proven ability to attract and hire top talent, especially in tech and event sectors.
- Builder:
Capable of creating processes, structures, and systems in a growing company.
- Adaptable:
Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities.
- Cultural Champion:
Passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Strong Communicator:
Excellent in English and French (preferred).
