WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM Our Project Management team is a global network of over 50 skilled and diverse projectmanagers who oversee more than 25 dynamic projects ranging from Interconnectors and Offshore Wind to Power From Shore projects, as well as Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair initiatives.
Based in either Nantes or Paris, you will report directly to the Portfolio Director who oversees your specific projects.
GETTING A FLYING START As a SeniorProjectManager at Nexans, you will take charge of specific projects within the Grids & Transmission sector.
This role requires sharp prioritization and superior resource management skills.
Your primary objective will be to optimize team performance and exceed client expectations, ensuring project deliverables are not just met but are exceptional.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT You will lead the overall management of the assigned project(s), including but not limited to the following:
Ensure that project(s) are executed in line with the mandate given - according to Contract requirements and Clients as well as internal expectations (QHSER, sales, cost, margin, cash, time, phasing).
Provide input upon request to allocated tenders for aspects relating to Project Management.
Effective use of the Project Model and internal procedures, including profitability requirements.
Manage a geographically spread project team.
Report status including deviations to the Project Director and the Steering Committee leader on a monthly basis including but not limited to planning and progress, the technical issues, procurement/subcontracts, construction, finance, invoicing, QA, HSE, Risk, legal conditions and personnel conditions Ensure adequate use of tools, processes and procedures for project execution.
Ensure effective use of the resources within the team and in cooperation with the departments, disciplines and internal units to meet internal and external requirements/obligations.
YOUR STARTING POINT University degree MSc, BSc or equivalent competence.
Minimum 15 years of relevant industry or operational EPCI experience.
Minimum 5 years' experience as ProjectManager, proven project management and team leader skills and experience.
Strong economical, anticipate and offset financial risks.
Excellent commercial abilities, anticipate and offset legal risks As we work with complex projects and demanding Clients it is important to understand Contracts and financial risks and opportunities.
Ability to reduce friction and/or lead improvement plans related to any internal coordination and/or collaboration deficiencies (teams, sites, functions).
