Define, plan and complete modeling and simulation activities (0D, 1D, 3D) of thermal systems in the field of electric vehicles (battery, power electronics, engines, vehicle thermal management systems).Perform thermalsimulations, 3D flow simulation (CFD), multiphysics coupling (CHT) and electrical systems.Work on complex thermal problems and define appropriate modeling approaches from the fundamental principles of Physics.Produce detailed analysis and simulation reports and present them to the client.Propose design improvements and/or experimental conditions based on analysis results.Calibrate and validate simulation models based on test results.Program routines (under Matlab, Excel or Python) to help carry out simulation activities and/or improve team productivity.Continuously improve work methods and practices.Capitalize knowledge and knowledge sharing by writing methodological sheets and keeping them up to date.Recruit and mentor interns.Integrate and train newcomers.Contribute to the technological monitoring effort of the service.In particular, you will perform the following simulations:
1D and 3D hydro-thermalsimulations of the immersion cooling performance of a battery module.Modelling of the thermal runaway of batteries:
CHT («Coupled Heat Transfer») simulations with fluid/solid thermal coupling during thermal runaway situations.
Multi-phase calculation with gas release.Systemic simulation (0D) under MATLAB/Simulink or GT-Power of the thermal and electrical behavior of a battery pack.Why you?You have an engineering background with a strong component in thermal and fluid mechanics.You have experience in CFD and system simulation.You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position.A good knowledge of the Star-CCM+ software suite, MATLAB/Simulink, or the GT-Power suite would be a plus.You have knowledge of batteries and electrical systems.You have an interest in electrifying transportation.You are comfortable in English.You are able to work according to the Agile method with a strong adaptabilityYou are known for your curiosity, proactivity, autonomy and ability to innovate. * EXOES GradignanNouvelle-Aquitaine Engineering Expérience souhaitée
