You will report to the Industrialisation tooling manager within the Industrialisation department based in Obernai, Europe, on a permanent contract.

The Industrialisation department co-develops new products with Engineering and designs the manufacturing means for these products, focusing on plastic and metal components.

• Co-develop new products with Engineering, ensuring Design for Manufacturing of metallic parts.


• Define metallic sub-assemblies, evaluate feasibility, and select appropriate cutting/assembly technologies.


• Design tooling architectures early in the process, estimate costs for machines, tools, and equipment.


• Estimate the manufacturing cost of metallic parts to contribute to overall product cost.


• Lead tooling projects:
  
  
  select partners, coordinate manufacturing, and interface with suppliers.


• Organize and supervise testing to ensure quality and compliance of delivered parts.

• Technician or engineer with at least 15 years of experience in metal cutting and industrialisation.


• Expertise in cutting/forming tools (progressive tools, stamping) with high cycle rates (10
  
  - 500 strokes/min).


• Comfortable working with thin materials (0.3 to 2 mm) and connectors, familiar with wire transformation (steel, copper).


• Skills in assembly processes:
  
  
  electrical welding, tapping, clinching, riveting, crimping, vibratory bowl feeding or elevating systems.


• Experience with Bihler, Pressmac, Wafios, Biegema, Bruderer machines.


• Fluent in English (B2/C1); German skills (B1/B2) are a plus; willing to travel occasionally within Europe.
