For on-going and unannounced projects, we are looking for a LeadAnimationDeveloper motivated by versatile and various large-scale gameplay projects on PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 to establish guidance and strategy for our team of talented animationdevelopers.
By joining teams of passionate people, the first mission will be to develop a cutting-edge architecture for a real-time control rig of an ambitious Unreal Engine 5 project fitting the upcoming quality standard expected at release time in the coming years.
Responsibilities :
Establish strategy and staffing plan of animationdevelopers for the project where they are required ;
Analyze needs of game designers and animation directors in order to implement various states and transitions streamline their tool chain from production step until runtime ;
Steer a coherent technical strategy for in-game rig setup and animation graphs across projects in accordance with the Technical Director, Animation Director and Producer of each project ;
Manage the animationdevelopers through the various projects where they are assigned to ;
Define, for the most complex problems at runtime in animations, the most suitable solutions to apply ;
Evaluate the risks and their implications in production and propose appropriate mitigation plans ;
Guide daily the animationdeveloper team on the best choice to proceed in order to reach the projects targets and to maximize the production safety ;
Make sure the working processes are applied in a compliant way ;
When needed, be part of the development, especially to implement the most critical features ;
Collaborate with other team members and other development, art or production teams, whatever local or remote ;
Make propositions to improve existing functionalities, for the sake of the final quality of the game ;
Make sure the provided work result fit the expected quality and is delivered on time ;
When necessary, write a technical document explaining the developed or studied system.
Make sure the animationdeveloper team deliver a clean, clearly commented and structured script, in respect of the suitable conditions of performance and reliability ;
Report to the Studio Technical Director and provide with necessary information about animation
development topics on the assigned projects.
