We are actively seeking a Lead Subsea Offshore Installation Engineer to join our team based in Île-de-France.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Department of Tenders and Technical Support or an Integrated Project Team, the Lead Subsea Offshore Installation Engineer will be responsible for developing technical documentation essential for the installation of offshore structures.
This role requires meticulous consideration of client specifications, vessel capabilities, barge logistics, and on-site feasibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation for the installation of offshore structures including pipelines (J-shaped and unrolled), risers (single or multiple), spools, jumpers, underwater structures, flexible umbilicals, floats (FPSO), anchors, buoys, and unloading lines.
- Collaborate closely with teams managing platform installations, pipeline installations (S-shaped), and wind turbines (floating or fixed).
- Interface and coordinate with all relevant departments within Vulcain Engineering from Design, Operations, Assets, Purchasing, Subcontracting, to Calls for Tenders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical assistance onboard vessels during the execution phase of projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related fields.
- Proven experience in offshore installation methods and procedures, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with subsea structures, pipeline installation techniques, and offshore wind installations is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and implement complex technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken French and English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying project requirements and operational challenges.
