We are recruiting for our client, a major player in the retail sector currently expanding, a LegalManager (M / F).
Reporting to the General Manager of the France – Belgium – Netherlands cluster, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of legal advice provided to the company, maintaining ethical standards in contracts, and ensuring the company’s compliance with applicable laws.
As the primary legal contact for the company, you will conduct continuous legal monitoring in the countries where the company operates, identify potential risk areas, and share them with the group's legal department.
Main Responsibilities :
Draft and review all company contracts (commercial leases, marketing, service agreements, procurement, etc.).
Act as the primary contact for all negotiations with lawyers and external parties.
Identify and assess potential legal compliance gaps between the company’s activities and applicable laws / regulations.
Manage disputes and litigation.
Handle claims and procedures related to insurance and customer disputes.
Ensure compliance with regulations regarding personal data protection.
Oversee the compliance of marketing and commercial activities with local regulations.
Manage and draft ordinary and extraordinary general meetings as well as board meetings; more broadly, oversee corporate law matters for the various entities.
Implement group guidelines, ensuring compliance with legal document approval procedures and delegation of authority.
Prepare monthly activity reports within your scope of responsibility.
Manage all administrative aspects related to the aforementioned activities, including :
signature management, registration / modification / closure of establishments, handling payment guarantees, and drafting banking documents (supporting the CFO in relations with financial institutions) in the relevant territories.
Contribute to the global development of new procedures / cross-functional activities and help deploy new tools.
Profile :
Holder of a Business Law degree , with at least eight years of experience , ideally gained in a law firm and / or corporate environment (preferably in retail), with proven expertise in commercial lease matters .
Proactive and responsive , with strong interpersonal skills , you are rigorous and service-oriented .
