Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist/Welder I to join our team at the Big River Plant.


This role is vital to ensuring high-quality production and maintenance of parts through manual machining and welding.


The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a hands-on approach, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform machine setups and manual machining operations to meet production specifications.


2. Utilize tools such as manual lathes, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement equipment.


3. Perform MIG welding tasks as required to fabricate or repair components.


4. Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.


5. Maintain safety and quality standards while working on production tasks.


6. Stand for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks as needed.

Qualifications

1. High proficiency in manual machining and troubleshooting machinery.


2. Experience with tools such as manual lathes, MIG welding equipment, micrometers, and gauges.


3. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications.


4. Comfortable standing for long periods and performing physically intensive work.
