YOUR FUTURE ENVIRONMENTEiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Génie Civil, has won the design-build contract awarded by Statens Vegvesen, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport, to build the new section of the E18-E39 urban motorway between Gartnerlà¸kka and Kolsdalen in Kristiansand, Norway, at a cost of over â?¬234 million.The aim of the contract is to increase the capacity of the main interchange providing access to the city centre and port activities of the country's 6th largest city.
It involves the construction of a 1.4 km 2x2 lane motorway in a dense urban area, including the construction of 12 structures, the reconstruction of 1.5 km of track, as well as the redevelopment of the existing ferry terminal and the installation of electrical and traffic engineering equipment.This new contract won by Eiffage Génie Civil strengthens the Group's position in Norway, where it is currently carrying out design-build work on lots 1, 2 and 3 of the E18 motorway (section between Langangen and Rugtvedt) on behalf of Nye Veier, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport.YOUR MAIN TASKSThe Roadworks and M&E Manager is responsible for all aspects related to the delivery of roadworks (pavement, crash barriers, vertical signalization, etc.) and M&E (along the entire project, open-day and tunnels), including testing and commissioning, until the final take-over by the client.
He also ensures coordination with the technical department for issues related too his scope.
Reporting to the Project Director:
Overall responsibility for delivering his scope of work in a safe way, within program and budge, ensuring the quality of the permanent works in conformity with the contractual requirements.
Member of the project management committeeJointly with the Project Director, contribute to developing the appropriate safety culture on site.
Through leadership and exemplarity, promote a genuine commitment to safety from all personnel involved in construction activities whether direct employees or subcontractors' personnel.
Ensure pro-active cooperation between H&S dept and his production teams.
Monitor the development of the design and ensure the appropriate coordination between designers (internal or external) and his production teams, particularly the interfaces between his scope and â??civilsâ? and â??tunnels & earthworksâ?.
Ensure that buildability and construction methodology are considered within the design.
Ensure that design delivery meets construction program.
Lead the procurement process for his scope of work.
Liaise with the procurement manager placed under the responsibility of the civil works manager on all relevant matters.
Define the organization chart of his construction team.
Liaise with the HR dept to organize the mobilization and demobilization of the personnel.
Ensure coordination and follow-up of the construction activities to ensure they meet contractual milestones.Manage the subcontractors falling within his scopeOwn the budget for his scope of work.
Together with the cost controller, establish a follow-up structure that ensures easy to understand monthly cost control review and monthly updates of the â??estimated at completionâ? budget.
Monitor the costs and develop action plans whenever deviations occurDefine the means necessary for the supervision of the testing and commissioning that will mainly be carried out by Traftec Interface with the client and all relevant third parties to prepare the final stages of the project:
