Job Mission:
We are looking for a researchintern with a strong background in bioprocessing and an interest in industrial applications of biotechnology.
This person will contribute to the development of our novel bioproduction platform for producing green chemicals.
They will work closely with our Chief Scientific Officer and collaboratively with the rest of our world-class technical team.
They will focus largely on experimental work (wet lab-based) around the setup, operation and maintenance of our proprietary bioreactors in our in-house designed experimental test station, for running and operating a large number of individual continuous flow reactors.
The over-all goal of this workflow is the development and optimization of our proprietary bioproduction technique (based on an anaerobic microbial strain) for a key target chemical with a huge sustainability impact.
This is a great role for an early-stage researcher with a strong background in industrial biotechnology, bioengineering, microbiology or other life science disciplines and previous experience in doing wet lab-based research.
The role is highly collaborative and we expect the candidate to directly integrate into our multidisciplinary team (with biologists, chemists and engineers), to share results, solicit feedback on their work and cooperate in developing our full technology stack.
They will experience fast-paced execution in the world of early-stage R&D in a venture-funded startup and gain perspective on the development and industrialization of industrial biotechnology.

Currently doing a masters degree in microbiology, life sciences or a related degree Track record and research experience:
minimum of one previous â??wet lab-basedâ? internship (of at least 6 months) Experience or familiarity with a few of the following:
bioreactors, bioprocess engineering and optimization, continuous flow systems, microbiology, anaerobic metabolism, bioanalytical techniques, bioelectrochemistry, microbial electrochemistry Track record of being consistently organized in the lab and managing multiple projects running in parallel Our Offer:
