Finding the optimal decisions in a complex industrial context requires the ability to take into account the complexity of the industrial process, the uncertain environment in which it is placed, as well as the operational constraints that may be imposed on a decision.
CosmoTech's product portfolio is structured around a modeling and simulation platform, go-to market accelerators and vertical specific model components, in particular in the context of supplychains.
We believe that circularsupplychains, using materials and goods for as long as possible and encouraging recycling, reuse, refurbishing and remanufacturing of products at the end of their lifecycle, are a founding element of a sustainable industry.
To support this shift, we want to build a simulator of circularsupplychains with our complex system simulationtechnology.
Such a simulator can be used as a sandbox environment in which the impact of different decisions can be tested.
It will help stakeholders understand how such a supplychain behaves under different scenarios, enabling them to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve sustainability.
The internship will focus on the realization of a first version of a circularsupplychain simulator, which may be adapted from existing CosmoTech simulators.
The intern will work closely with the product management team to refine the use case specifications, as well as with the modeling and simulation team to design and implement the simulator.
He will be in charge of the realization of prototypes before the implementation of a product that should lead to the packaging of a solution on the CosmoTech platform.
A demonstration of the solution on concrete use cases will be realized.
To be successful in this role, you should:
Be following a Master/engineering school in computer science, applied mathematics, operational research or a relevant engineering field.
Have experience programming in both Python and C++ in a linux environment.
Be interested in supplychain concepts and principles as well as sustainability, circular economy, and environmental issues.
Demonstrate understanding and curiosity about simulation in industrial settings (experience with agent-based simulation, discrete-event simulation or other types of simulation is a plus).
Have strong communication skills and be proficient in written English.
Have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
