We invite researchers and scientists to join us as Section Editor (Special Issues) for the journal, Current Chemical Biology , to contribute to a research area (section) most relevant to their field of expertise.
The candidates for the Section Editor position should have a proven track record of scholarly publishing and organizing special issues, and they should be able to assemble a collection of high-quality research/review articles related to their section.
Key Responsibilities:
â?¢ Develop a comprehensive proposal for a special issue relevant to their research section underlining its importance and the information of prospective contributors.
â?¢ Invite senior scholarly authors with high h-index scores, preferably from technologically advanced countries, to publish articles in the special issue.
â?¢ Ensure that the contributing authors are committed to the Open Access mode of publishing and can cover the Article Processing Charges (APC).
â?¢ Oversee manuscript submissions for adherence to the scope of the issue and the journal.
â?¢ Utilize the offered honorarium to promote the special issue within the scientific community.
The Article Processing Charges (APC) are offered with a discount to facilitate Open Access publishing by the authors.
Qualifications and Experience:
â?¢ Ph.D.
in related fields â?¢ A valid Scopus ID.
â?¢ Prior experience in publishing guest-edited thematic issues in peer-reviewed journals.
â?¢ They must have a list of scholarly authors who can consent to contribute research / review articles in the thematic issue(s) proposed by the Section Editor.
â?¢ Strong networks within the research community.
â?¢ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
â?¢ Familiarity with scientific publication and peer review processes.

How To Apply:
Interested candidates are invited to submit their CVs; list of publications, and a special issue proposal by 25 February 2025.
The proposal should include the title and scope of the special issue, relevant keywords, sub-topics, and preferably, the article titles, a list of potential contributors, and article submission deadlines.
Special Instructions:
â?¢ Each author/co-author is welcome to contribute one paper to the special issue.
â?¢ Contributions must adhere to topics approved by the Editor-in-Chief.
â?¢ Manuscript submission extensions will be limited to 60 days.
