With outstanding technical evaluation scores, NTU was awarded as leader of SEA 2023 Lot 1:
Climate Change, Sustainable Energy and Nuclear Safety.
The Lot will include project assignments taking place globally in key sectors of our long-proven capacity, such as:
- Climate Change:
Resilience, Adaptation and Mitigation, Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs)
- Sustainable Energy:
Renewable Energy Transition, Modern Power grids, Energy Services, Institutional Frameworks for Energy Management, Rural and Urban Electrification, Energy efficiency, and clean cooking
- Nuclear Safety:
power plant operation, design safety, safeguards, non-proliferation, radioactive waste and transport, offsite emergency preparedness, decommissioning, training of nuclear regulator/staff on nuclear safety issues, and Operation of non-power generating nuclear or radiological installations
- Disaster Risk Reduction/Disaster Risk Management, Climate and Disaster Risk Finance and Insurance
In these fields, NTU will offer invaluable support throughout the operations cycle, providing technical insights and executing specialized tasks, including policy analysis and design, mainstreaming EU policy priorities, and Intervention Cycle Management activities.
This encompasses feasibility studies, needs assessments, institutional/stakeholder analysis and consultations, political, economic, and financial analysis, cost-benefit analysis, context analysis, quality review of documents, support to project design and monitoring, impact assessments, evaluations, capacity-development activities, public information, and communication tasks in these critical sectors.
