This is a hands-on leadership role focused on shaping how developers build, deploy, and debug software using Datadog.


You will work at the intersection of CI/CD observability, SCM integrations, IDE tooling, and developer features like the Datadog Debugger.

You will design and build scalable systems providing end-to-end visibility into software delivery pipelines, integrating Datadog into developer workflows inside GitHub, IDEs, or CLI.


You will own projects that enable developers to move fast without sacrificing quality.

• Design and own core systems within the Software Delivery suite, including build/deployment data ingestion, dashboards, and failure diagnostics.


• Partner with Datadog for Developers teams to extend Datadog into SCMs, IDEs, and local tools.


• Lead technical strategy for features like live debugging, test visibility, and deployment tracking.


• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure useful, fast, and enjoyable tools.


• Mentor engineers, share technical insights, guide architecture, and promote best practices.

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.


• 10+ years designing and delivering high-scale systems.


• 4+ years in technical leadership, driving large initiatives across teams.


• Deep understanding of software delivery pipelines and developer workflows.


• Experience with SCMs like GitHub/GitLab and IDE plugins/extensions.
