As a SupplierDevelopmentManager, you will be responsible for strategic supplier relationship management with an EMEA scope in the Beauty and PersonalCare industry.
This position will work closely with key suppliers and internal personnel to support successful long:
term growth and will collaborate with customers, suppliers, field management, and sales to establish and implement successful programs that benefit both Univar Europe and our suppliers.
What youll do
:
Responsible for business relationships with suppliers.
This includes mapping and engaging interactions with management, technical, marketing, and supply teams.
:
Drive and implement supplier strategy to achieve the targets related to product portfolio (Sales, Volume, Inventory, etc.)
:
Support and lead the negotiation of pricing and buying plans.
:
Prepare regular reviews, ensuring key products are managed and targeted as per a common strategy defined with the supplier.
:
Works closely and cross:
functionally with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Digital, Supply, and Regulatory) to ensure an efficient execution of the commercial strategy.
:
Identify concerns and opportunities in link with the product portfolio; ensure that internal departments are responsive and take corrective action.
:
Prepares and submits reports as advised.
:
Continuously supervise market share by mapping suppliers and competitors activity
:
Supportthe EMEA team for new supplier partnership developments.
:
Provides mentorship and coordinates a product assistant activity.
What youll need
:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred)
:
Successful experience (5 years minimum) in sales and/or product management.
:
Beauty and PersonalCare Ingredients (raw chemicals) industry experience is preferred.
:
Analytical skills are needed to develop strategic data:
driven decisions.
:
Ability to develop and grow strong relationships with key suppliers and cross:
making ability balancing supplier needs and company objectives.
:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle diverse and significant workloads.
:
Strong written, verbal and presentation abilities.
:
Proven financial leadership skills.
:
Broad knowledge of chemical distribution business and functions.
:
Home:
based, but some travel for supplier meetings, customer visits trade shows, and training.
:
Proficiency in English is required.
French language skills are a plus.
