Our client has seen a recent dramatic increase in growth and, due to this, are looking to hire an Accountant to join their established team.
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dealership Accountant.
As the Dealership Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our client's dealership.
You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and reports, and you will provide analysis and insight to support the strategic decision-making process.
This exciting position is based at their busy dealership in WestYorkshire.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the dealership, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Manage the budgeting and forecasting process for the dealership, and provide analysis and insight to support the decision-making process Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures, and maintain proper internal controls Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities, and manage the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations and increase efficiency Support the General Manager in the preparation of business plans and strategic initiatives Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a motor trade environment Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and familiarity with accounting software and systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and opportunities for improvement Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines If you are a proactive, results-oriented individual with a passion for the automotive industry, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
