The Avionic and Mechanical Instructor Analyst primary function within theTraining Delivery Team, is to design, develop, update, maintain courseware and when qualified on the platform system, conduct training delivery.
The Instructor Analyst will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the qualified platform system within the Training Academy.
The Instructor Analyst may also be required to support Internal Company training once qualified.
Main Activities and Tasks The Instructor Analyst shall provide the following activities and tasks:
- Develop and deliver training material to meet the requirements of the customer (both internal & external) ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.
- Research and evaluate the technical content of the training material they either develop or approve for currency, accuracy and applicability.
- Keeping their technical/professional knowledge up-to-date in support of business activities and share this knowledge with other team members as appropriate - Ensure deadline adherence to the defined priorities set by the TDT Team Lead.
- To deliver system training, in a classroom, to the customers and internal workforce at Yeovil and/or at Customer premises in the UK and overseas.
- Drive the requirement for re-usability of training content; ensure that the content of the training materials exploits fully that which is already available and where it is original, that it is developed to enhance its subsequent re-usability elsewhere.
- To design, prepare, implement and deliver training content on time, to budget within the project specification and standards.
- To produce an effective and innovative design concept that meets both the Training Academy's standards and our customers training objectives.
- The ability to gather and analyse technical information and in consultation with the Engineering Design Authority, assess its relevance to a particular training objective.
- Respond quickly to customer needs and demonstrate customer care.
- To work within a team environment to enhance working practices and product quality.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Training Academy and the contracted programmes.
- Carryout any other responsibilities as directed within their capability and capacity.
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience Although not essential the Instructor Analyst would ideally have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Educated as an aeronautical engineer to HNC level and/or served a recognised Aeronautical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.
- At least 5 years' experience relevant to the helicopter industry or in a military helicopter environment.
- A comprehensive understanding of JSP 822 Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) and modern training analysis systems.
- Experience in the functional application of Training Needs Analysis and Course Design.
- Hold a formally recognised teaching qualification (Level 3) or be willing to study towards achieving Level 4.
- Exceptional communication skill both verbal and written to be effective primarily in training instructional delivery and in the internal correspondence with training department stakeholders.
- Be computer literate and competent to use computerised multi-media training packages including primarily the Learning Content Management System (LCMS), any training emulations, and presentation suites.
- A good understanding of Training Needs Analysis and Course Design.
- The ability to work in accordance with company operating procedures, functional manuals and project standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience of dealing with a range of customers, Inc.
