BusinessSupportEngineer - IT - Contract - Remote(UK) We are currently recruiting for a BusinessSupport (Technical) Engineer to migrate a power plant Elelectronic Dispatch and Logging (EDL) systemfrom where it currently sits, into a new host environment.
This is a fully remote role although some occasional UK site visits may be required.
Our client is one of the largest power generation companies, operating power plants in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Turkey.
They need this EDL system to be migrated into their Operational Technology department, or for a new system to be developed.
Relevant CAF and NIS security requirements must be met.
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed promptly by MS Teams, with onboarding in April or as soon as possible.
The contract will be for 6 months initially but will likely extend depending on the project requirements.
There will be an IR35 determination upon candidate selection.
BusinessSupportEngineer Responsibilities:
The investigation of whether the original product shall be migrated or an existing or new product shall be used.
Migrate the EDL functionality to the OT environment to meet the OFGEM basic CAF security requirements, if migration is the chosen project path.
About you:
Knowledge of power generation and energy dispatch, preferably in the UK market; Knowledge of cyber security in critical environments (NIS Directive / CAF); Knowledge of power plant automation and interfaces; Experience with technical migrations(messaging, O365 or other IT environments) Excellent communication skills both oral and written, within all levels of the organization; Excellent English language skills.
