- Part -Time (16 hours) iO is looking for a Calibration Technician to work for a leading developer and manufacturer of sophisticated exhaust management systems and provider of industrial productivity solutions based in the Burgess Hill area.
They are largest company from the generation of power to the production of steel as well as its biggest civil aerospace exporter.
The project involves in to carry out calibration for all functions within the Eastbourne Product Company and as a saleable product for external customers in line with ISO9001 and site-specific calibration procedures.
Experience:
* Good communication skills must be able to interact at all levels, with the shop floor staff and the engineering team.
* Good organisational skills and a methodical approach.
* Self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative for periods.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications particularly, Word, Access, Excel and Outlook.
* The ability to learn and enter data into the SAP system.

Responsibilities:
* Ensure that all measuring instruments that used to verify product are calibrated according to ISO9001 requirements.
* Maintain the Eastbournecalibration database to ensure that all measuring instruments that are used to verify product are maintained within an appropriate calibrationtime period.
* Qualify, arrange contracts, and place orders with external providers for the equipment which we do not have the ability to calibrate internally, for example digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies.
* Provide a calibration service to the Eastbourne manufacturing facility for appropriate equipment and tooling for example, production test equipment, torque wrenches, anti-static matting.
* Calibrate vacuum gauges and controllers (Edwards or customer) where calibration certification is requested by our customers or other entities including the issuing and collating of certification.
* Assist other Calibration personnel in performing vacuum calibration and the maintenance of the Eastbournecalibration database.
* Prioritise workload within the lab.
