We are looking for two CapabilityOwners to join our world-class team, to design and develop our core assessment and learning capabilities, that underpin our Go Big in English Strategy.
Working across the whole Cambridge Ecosystem - spanning CambridgeUniversityPress and Assessment and the University of Cambridge, you will be focused on developing key assessment capabilities, that support both our current assessment activity and our future ambitions for integrated learning and assessment products.
Your work will be vital to enabling transformation of our business.
About the role Collaborating with CapabilityOwners in other core assessment areas, and product owners across the full suite of products, you will determine how we can use the latest psychometric and data science approaches to ensure we meet increasing customer needs for flexibility, availability and fast turnaround times.
This goes hand in hand with incorporating our assessment principles in any solution, and ensuring we can continually evidence the performance and quality of our products to key stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
As a CapabilityOwner, you will lead a team of skilled psychometricians, machine learning engineers, data analysts and data scientists, in transforming how our organisation uses Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in assessment.
From automation and optimisation of large-scale assessment measurement processes and the detection of potential fraud or malpractice, to being integral to ground-breaking research and development of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications to enable novel approaches to assessment and learning, you will also be pivotal in enabling such techniques to be used more widely in the business.
About you With an advanced degree (PhD preferred) in a quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience of the use of psychometrics in large scale high stakes assessment processes, you will be adept at managing complex technical, specialised operations and development projects that are critical to Cambridge English's business.
With a deep understanding of assessment methodology, and a strong interest in the use of AI and Machine learning technologies, as applied to assessment and learning processes, you will lead innovative change in these areas to support our Go Big in English Strategy.
Able to work with a wide range of stakeholders and communicate technical information clearly to specialists and non-specialists alike, you will be able to provide inspirational leadership to a strong team through a period of considerable change.
Methodical and calm under pressure, you will be capable of applying your extensive specialist expertise in different and new contexts and be capable of acquiring new skills to tackle new these as they arise.
